I want to inform the readers of this blog of two new recalls relating to Baby Bath Seats. These bath seats were recalled because they may pose a risk of drowning to your babies. Staying informed can save your child’s life.
The following Baby Bath Seats were recalled this week:
1) Idea Baby Bath Seats
According to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, Buy Buy Baby has recalled about 34,000 units of their Idea Baby Bath Seats because the bath seats do not meet federal safety standards, including the requirements for stability. This instability may cause the bath seat to tip over. Unfortunately, this poses a risk of drowning to babies. To date, there have been no reports of injuries. These baths seats were sold at Buy Buy Baby and Bed Bath & Beyond. They were also sold online at buybuybaby.com and bedbathbeyond.com. The baby bath seats were sold for around $40 from October 2010 through September 2012.
If you have purchased a recalled Idea bath seat for your child, stop using it immediately. Furthermore, you should return the recalled bath seat to the place of purchase to receive store credit. If you purchased the bath seats online, simply return it to any Buy Buy Baby store for store credit. For additional inquiries, contact Buy Buy Baby at (877) 328-9222.
