Do you remember Erin Brockovich?  She became famous for advocating and fighting for the rights of several individuals who were negatively affected by the polluted water supply of a small town in California.  In 2000, a movie was even made about her life and her assistance in the pollution case.   It was called Erin Brockovich.

Anyways, Erin Brockovich was arrested for suspicion of boating while intoxicated.   She was apparently boating while intoxicated at Lake Mead near Las Vegas.  According to MSN.com, Brockovich “was arrested late Friday night after breath tests showed her blood-alcohol level was just over twice the legal limit of .08.

She was sent to Clark County Detention Center and released on $1,000 bail.

Boating While Intoxicated Laws:

According to MSN.com, boating while intoxicated in Nevada is a misdemeanor.  A fine for a first-time boating while intoxicated offense can range from $1,000 to $2,000.
