If you have recently purchased a mix of frozen berries from Costco, continue reading.  According to CNN.com, a frozen fruit mix sold at Costco has been suspected of causing the latest Hepatitis A outbreak.

What Caused the Hepatitis A Outbreak?

Townsend Farms Organic Antioxidant Blend, which is a mix of frozen berries and pomegranate seeds, has apparently caused the Hepatitis A outbreak.  According to CNN.com, “The outbreak has been traced to a type of pomegranate seeds from Turkey that are in the Townsend Farms fruit mix.”

  • California
  • Colorado
  • Nevada
  • New Mexico

Illnesses To Date From Hepatitis A Outbreak:

Hepatitis A Symptoms:

  • Fatigue
  • Nausea
  • Vomiting
  • Abdominal pain
  • Liver failure
  • Loss of appetite
  • Dark urine
  • Muscle pain
  • Yellowing of the skin and eyes (jaundice)

The FDA is in the process of investigating the Townsend Farms fruit mix.
