A 10-year-old girl was kidnapped from her home in San Fernando Valley around 3 a.m. Wednesday.  According to Yahoo News, she was “found about 12 hours later wandering near a Starbucks several miles away.  She was barefoot, had bruises and scratches, and wasn't wearing the same clothes she had on when she vanished.”  Law enforcement sources believe that the kidnapped girl was sexually assaulted.

Police handling the case suspect that two men, Tobias Dustin Summers (30) and Daniel Martinez (29), are responsible for the crime. Police have arrested Martinez and have taken him into custody.  He is “booked for investigation of kidnapping” with a $1 million bail.  As for Summers, the police believe that he has run away to San Diego and has changed his appearance.

We have not yet been told if there was a motive behind the 10-year-old girl’s kidnapping.  I hope they catch Summers and that both kidnappers are punished for their cruel acts.
