An 82-year-old man named Terry Miracle has made headline news for aiding the police in catching a fleeing felon with a long criminal history involving burglary.  According to the news, Mr. Miracle was in his garden minding his own business when he heard the “police chasing a burglary suspect identified as 27-year-old Morgan Perry Bluehorse.”

Miracle said that as he heard the felon approaching him, he remembered his high school football days from 65 years ago.  When he saw Bluehorse running toward him “just like the runners used to do when I played football,” Miracle ran toward the suspect and “launched a cross-body block."  This caused both Bluehorse and Miracle to go down.

Thanks to Miracle, the police were able to catch Bluehorse because of the delay he had caused by his effective cross-block.

Bluehorse was booked for the following:

  • Investigation of second-degree burglary related to an earlier investigation
  • Third-degree theft
  • Trespassing
  • Resisting arrest
  • Obstructing an officer
  • Malicious mischief
  • Methamphetamine possession
