LG is voluntarily recalling approximately 457,000 units of their top-loading washing machines due to the risk of injury. According to the company, “an unbalanced load can cause the washing machine to shake excessively and the drum to come loose during use.” This can cause property damage and may also pose a risk of injury to consumers.

Injuries to Date:
- To date, there have been 343 reports of washing machines vibrating excessively
- There have been at least 187 reports of minor property damage
- There has been one reported minor injury
