Its that time of the week when we continue our true or false edition of weird laws across the country. Last week we saw some very weird laws from Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, and Georgia. Let’s see what weird laws these next 5 states have in store for us!
True or False:
“You may only have one alcoholic drink in front of you at a time.”
TRUE. There is no double fisting drinks in Hawaii bars! According to the law, if you order more than one drink, the bartender must ask, "who is that other drink for?” The customer must point them out, and the other person may not be holding a drink. Legislators probably enacted this law to deter adults from ordering drinks for underage people.
“It is illegal for a man to give his sweetheart a box of candy weighing less than fifty pounds.”
TRUE. If this law is still on the books, I’m moving to Idaho and opening up a chocolate factory there tomorrow!
“It is illegal to pee in your neighbor’s mouth.”
TRUE. In Champaign, Illinois the law states that one may not pee in his neighbor’s mouth. According to numerous websites, Champaign is a college town. You know what happens in colleges…Hazing! Perhaps this law was enacted after a gross hazing incident.
“It is illegal to sniff glue.”
TRUE. According to the Indiana Code, if a person ingests or inhales the fumes of model glue with intent to cause a condition of intoxication, euphoria, excitement, exhilaration, stupefaction, or dulling of the senses, they will be guilty of a Class B misdemeanor with a fine of up to $1000.00.
“A man with a mustache may never kiss a woman in public.”
TRUE. What’s wrong with mustaches? I sure hope this law isn’t true!
