Visa Bulletin NewsThe visa bulletin that outlines the availability of immigrant visa numbers is now available for the month of April. As I explained in a previous blog, this bulletin is a guide for when an applicant’s permanent residency visa is available.

The first grid outlines the availability dates for family based petitions and the second one outlines employment based petitions. Below each grid you will see an explanation of each preference.

Visa Bulletin Family Sponsored

Family Sponsored Preferences

First: (F1) Unmarried Sons and Daughters of U.S. Citizens

Second: Spouses and Children, and Unmarried Sons and Daughters of Permanent Residents

A. (F2A) Spouses and Children of Permanent Residents

B. (F2B) Unmarried Sons and Daughters (21 years of age or older) of Permanent Residents

Third: (F3) Married Sons and Daughters of U.S. Citizens

Fourth: (F4) Brothers and Sisters of Adult U.S. Citizens

 

Visa Bulletin Employment Based

Employment Based Preferences

First: Priority Workers (Extraordinary Ability)

Second: Advanced Degree Professionals or Persons of Exceptional Ability

Third: Skilled Workers, Professionals

Other: Workers Unskilled Workers

Fourth: Certain Religious Workers

Fifth: Employment Creation/Investors
