Recent Food Related Recalls
The following products have recently been recalled. While meant to be informative, please remember that this list is not exhaustive. If you suspect an item you have has been recalled, or if for example you have recently suffered from food poisoning, or a reaction to a food allergy, you can contact the manufacturer or store where you purchased the item for additional information. You can also find some additional information on both the FDA and CDC’s websites.

- The Florida Brewery, Inc. is recalling certain lots of Goya, Great Value, Hatuey, Mr. Special, Polar, Publix, Regal, and SuperMax brand non-alcoholic malta beverages packaged in 7-oz bottles because the glass on the exterior of the bottles may break when the twist-off cap is removed from the bottle and can result in cuts to the mouth. Two injuries have been reported thus far. (Please note: not all labels subject to the recall are pictured below)
- American Regent is undertaking this voluntary recall of Phenylephrine HCl Injection, USP, Lot 0693 due to potential safety concerns stemming from the identification of visible particles found in some retained samples of this lot. This recall is at the hospital and retail level.There have been no reported incidents in relation with this recall.
- Glenmark Generics Inc. USA today issued a voluntary, nationwide, consumer-level recall of seven (7) lots of Norgestimate and Ethinyl Estradiol Tablets USP, 0.18 mg/0.035 mg, 0.215 mg/0.035 mg, 0.25 mg/0.035 mg. The affected contraceptive tablets were rotated 180 degrees within the blister packs. The company initiated the recall after receiving a complaint from a customer that the pills (color coded) were incorrectly ordered in her pill pacl.
- Price Chopper Supermarkets is issuing a voluntary recall on its Price Chopper Bakery five and eight inch Apple, Blueberry, Cherry, and Peach Streusel Pies due to the streusel topping containing eggs, an undeclared allergen. (Please note, not all affected labels are pictured below)
What to do if you Have Become Sick or Injured by a Recalled Product
If you or a loved one has become sick or otherwise harmed as a result of one of the recalled products listed above, or if you have been harmed by a different dangerous or defective product, you may be entitled to compensation for your injuries or medical expenses. Examples of such damages may include food poisoning requiring hospitalization or an injury requiring medical attention.
