It’s official. Downloading music for free is illegal. At least, sometimes it’s illegal. A 12-person jury recently sided with the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) in deciding Jammie Thomas should be liable for copyright infringement. Technology companies rally against MGM

WASHINGTON – Time Trax Technologies announced Tuesday that it has submitted an amicus brief to the United States Supreme Court, along with several emerging technology companies and the Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF), in support of Grokster.
