CTV BEST GROUP’s Dietary Supplement, BEST SLIM
On August 3, 2013, CTV Best Group announced a voluntary nationwide recall of all lots of their dietary supplements sold under the brand name BEST SLIM 40 Pills to the consumer level because they were notified by the FDA that the supplements contain Sibutramine. Sibutramine has been withdrawn from U.S marketplace and was not listed on the label for the BEST SLIM 40 Pills.
What Is Sibutramine?
According to the FDA, Sibutramine is an appetite suppressant used for the treatment of obesity. It is considered a Schedule IV controlled substance and should only be taken under the direct supervision of qualified health care professional.
Risks Associated With Using Sibutramine:
- Substantial increase of blood pressure and/or pulse rate
- May be dangerous for patients with a history of coronary artery disease, congestive heart failure, arrhythmias, or stroke

Consumers in possession of the recalled BEST SLIM Dietary Supplement products are urged to stop using the products immediately. Moreover, they should destroy or return any unused product for a refund.
