Good thing it’s Friday! We get to read about 5 more weird laws across the United States. Last week we saw 5 strange animal laws from all around the country. Let’s see what other weird animal laws are out there!
Weird Laws - Animal Edition
Here are this weeks weird animal laws. Enjoy!
New York: All cats venturing outside must wear three bells to warn birds of their approach.
What they say is true; New York has always been very pro-bird.
California: It is unlawful to whistle for your escaped pet bird before 7 a.m.
Little known fact: this law is the main reason Condors are on the endangered species list.
Wisconsin: It is illegal for dogs to bark, snarl or growl in a menacing manner.
Who wants to debate the finer points between the difference of a growl and a snarl. Anyone? Anyone?
Illinois: It is illegal to give a dog or a cat a lighted cigar.
But they don’t have thumbs, how else are they going to light it?
Oklahoma: It is illegal to give liquor to a fish.
I’m sure this law has saved thousands of fish from drowning.
What do you think about these weird animal laws? Are there any weird laws that you find unusually strange?
