Teavana has issued a recall of nearly 500,000 Glass Tea Tumblers because the double-walled beverage glasses may suddenly break and shatter. According to The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), the breaking and shattering of the glasses poses a risk of burning consumers.

Injuries To Date:
- To date, there have been around 302 reports of the glass breaking or shattering
- There have been six reports of lacerations and burns when the tumblers broke during use
- According to the CPSC, Injuries reported include cut fingers and legs and burned toes
Free Replacement Metallic Tea Tumbler and Complimentary Tea:
If you have purchased the recalled Teavana Glass Tea Tumblers, it is important to stop using the product immediately. Furthermore, you should return the glasses to a Teavana store location (excluding stores at Columbia Mall, Columbia, Maryland; Dallas Fort Worth Airport, Arlington, Texas; and Galleria Mall, Fort Lauderdale, Florida) for a "free replacement metallic tea tumbler and a complimentary 2 oz. package of Opus Rouge Rooibos Tea." According to the CPSC, “Consumers may also mail the tumblers or glasses to Teavana by calling the company and requesting a pre-paid mailer that will be sent at no cost to the consumer for returning the recalled tumblers or glasses.”
