Natura Pet Products Recall Due to Salmonella Contamination

On April 19, 2013, Natura Pet Products expanded its voluntarily recall of their dry pet food products due to potential Salmonella contamination.  The Michigan Department of Agriculture and the Georgia Department of Agriculture confirmed the presence of Salmonella after sampling the dry pet food products.  According to the FDA, “The expanded recall now includes all dry pet food products and treats with expiration dates prior to and including March 24, 2014.”

Refund:

Consumers who have purchased the recalled pet food product should call Natura at 800-224-6123 for information on product replacement or refund.

Risk of Salmonella to Humans:

  • Nausea
  • Vomiting
  • Diarrhea or bloody diarrhea
  • Abdominal cramping
  • Fever
