Recent Food Recalls: Check Your Refrigerator

The following food products have recently been recalled. The affected products are categorized by reason for recall.

Check your cabinets, refrigerator, or freezer to see if you have any of the affected products. As a general matter, consumers should stop using or otherwise consuming any products subject to recall.

While meant to be informative, please keep in mind that the list is not exhaustive. That being said, there have been a somewhat alarming amount of recalls within the past few weeks, particularly those presenting the risk of listeria contamination.

Recalled Due to Listeria:

• Ciolo recalled its dips and spreads
• Fresh Selections  recalled its three bean salad and broccoli stir fry
• Publix  sub sandwiches were recalled
• Whole Foods Market  recalled its repared salads, dressings and sandwich rolls
• Trader Joe’s  Salsa and Balela
• Busch’s  Several Deli Products
• Trader Joe’s  Salad
• Calico Bean Salad  Calico Bean Salad
• Delish, Marketside, Raley’s and various brands recalled various products containing yellow onions
• Wegmans  recalled several of its prepared foods that contain chopped/diced white onions
• Cool Creations and Fiesta Garden Fresh Salsa  recalled specific packages of products containing onions
• Burch Farms  recalled its cantaloupes
• Golden Corral, Dickey’s, Lee’s, Fatz, Ken’s Tartar Sauce, BBQ Bean Sauce, Cole Slaw Dressing, Tartar Sauce, Tartar Sauce
• Garden Fresh Foods announced the recall of its Acme, Chef’s Kitchen,Copperwood Kitchens, Dairy Fresh, Finest Traditions, Garden-Fresh, Grandpas, Marsh’s, Archer Farms, Market Pantry, Our Own, Rogges, Roundy’s, Spartan, Spoon River,Weis  recalled its ready-to-eat Salads
• Cut N Clean recalled its Comfort (Cooking) Greens Kits
• Burch Farms, Cottle Strawberry  announced the recall of its Whole Cantaloupes
• Dippin’ Stix, Armour Active Packs recalled its Apple Snack, Pizza Kit

Recalled Due to Undeclared Ingredients:

• Wimberger’s Old World Bakery  recalled various breads and pizza dough undeclared milk, soy and wheat
• Clif Bar  Energy Bar  was recalled due to undeclared coconut

Recalled For Other Reason:

• Tita  announced the recall of its Quesito Colombiano, Colombian style Cheese  due to possible Staphylococcus aureus contamination
