Two are dead and another wounded after shots were fired at the federal offices of Immigration and Customs Enforcement in Long Beach, California, according to an article on Yahoo News.

According to reports from the Long Beach Police, the shooter killed one wounded another.  The shooter subsequently perished from gunshots as well.

It is unclear whether he died of a self-inflicted gun shot.

It is also unclear what motivated Thursday’s shooting at the Glenn M. Anderson Federal building located in downtown Long Beach.

What Happened to Cause this Shooting?

Presently the facts are very few, which in turn raises the level of speculation to unseen heights as is natural in almost any instance.

Although, I hate to speculate myself, there are several factual scenarios that I can conjure up in my mind including: that the shooter was a vengeful employee who recently lost his job; or he was an immigrant who thought that he would show the government his opinion on federal immigration policy; or even, the shooter could have been a vengeful husband that came after his wife after he discovered her adulterous affair at the office.

The possibilities are endless. But one thing is for sure, the ending was unfortunate.

The further the speculation goes the more attenuated the possibilities become. That is why we must all wait to get more information from the impending investigation that will help to connect the dots in this case.
