Don’t Tell The Customer You’re Really an Actor

Apparently Los Angeles has a law attempting to curtail waitstaff harassing their clients by declaring that they are really an actor or actress.  The supposed justification was that entertainment executives grew so tired of hearing every other waiter state they were just dying to be discovered, that the threat to business, and choosing to no longer dine out, became more concrete.

Luckily, she wasn’t too badly hurt, eventhough the offenders still managed to drive away without paying their bill (luckily she took down their license plate information). Here is a list of the top 10 violations committed against waitstaff. This article details an episode of the popular show “What Would You Do?” regarding the dine and dash situation. Here is a more detailed and informative discussion of the topic.
