A Texas man has found himself convicted of 6 counts of aggravated assault. The reason? Knowingly having unprotected sex while infected with HIV. A 53 year old man from Frisco, Texas faces 5 to 99 years in prison for each count of aggravated assault, he will be sentenced today.

At least 6 women he had sexual relations with have tested positive for HIV or full blown AIDS. The man did not warn the women he was HIV positive and had unprotected sex with them, and many others. Prosecutors referred to him as a “predator” and a “lethal weapon.”

Aggravated assault is assault with the intent to seriously injure or assault with a deadly weapon. The prosecutors were able to fit the man’s activity within the applicable state statute and he was convicted on Wednesday.
